The Day Activity Centre caters to youths and adults with autism, cerebral palsy, and Down syndrome and Multiple Disabilities,
There are more than 80 youths and adults in the centre. Activities are designed to improve their quality of life and integrate them into the society.
Why support this volunteering abroad project
Do something meaningful. Befriend this group which is often left to their own. Many of them enjoy the attention which they basked in.
Activities during volunteer travel
Some of the activities that volunteers may assist include:
Daily routine activities
Stair climbing, walking, eating, toileting, personal hygiene, and showering
Community Living Skills
Shopping, taking public transport, or household skills such as cooking and cleaning.
Social and Recreational Activities
Social and recreational skills including language and communication skills, social skills and behavioral management, arts and crafts, music and movements, games and exercises.
